1 dead, 1 injured after semi-truck crash near Solano County

SALANO COUNTY, CA - One person is dead and another was injured after a semi-truck struck four cars on State Route 37 on Thursday, reports ABC10.

According to California Highway Patrol, the semi-truck was driving westward when it crashed into a concrete barrier before hitting a Chevy Truck, a Toyota Camry and a Tesla Model 3. The semi-truck then broke through the highway's median into oncoming traffic where it collided with a Dodge truck.

The driver of the Dodge was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident and the driver of the Toyota was treated for minor injuries at Sutter Solano Hospital.

Investigations into the cause of the incident are still ongoing. The CHP is asking witnesses to contact them with any relevant information.
