Woman killed in hit-and-run in South Natomas

SACRAMENTO, CA - A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run in South Natomas shortly after 10:30 p.m. last night, reports CBS13.

Police responded to reports of a pedestrian lying in the roadway in the 1000 block of Garden Highway and arrived to find a woman with injuries consistent with a vehicle/pedestrian crash. Paramedics declared the victim dead at the scene.

The driver responsible for the collision had fled by the time authorities arrived. That individual remains at large at this time.
