SACRAMENTO, CA - A pedestrian was killed and a motorist was hospitalized following a collision at an intersection in southeast Sacramento on Tuesday, KCRA reports.
The incident happened at the intersection of South Watt Avenue and Fruitridge Road sometime on the evening of June 29.
A female pedestrian died as a result of the crash, while the driver was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
The area was closed for several hours as emergency responders worked the scene. It reopened by 8:40 p.m.
