Update: DUI arrest made in connection to deadly Roseville crash from December

ROSEVILLE, CA - A man has been arrested for suspected DUI that caused a deadly crash in Roseville late last year.

According to KCRA, the crash involving two vehicles happened on Dec. 21, 2021. Police responded to the scene at Old Auburn Road near South Cirby Way.

Despite life-saving efforts, a victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Scott Hopkins, 56, was the other person involved in the crash and was taken to a hospital for injuries. Police made an arrest last Thursday after finding substantial evidence that Hopkins was driving under the influence of a controlled substance during the crash.

Hopkins has been convicted of DUI charges in the past.
