Two-vehicle collision blocks US-50 onramp near SW Rancho Cordova

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- A two-vehicle accident Monday evening blocked an onramp and an HOV lane on U.S. Highway 50 near Rancho Cordova's Bradshaw Woods area, according to California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on the ramp from Bradshaw Road to US-50 eastbound and was first reported by CHP at 4:57 p.m.

Details are limited, but authorities said a silver GMC SUV and an unknown sedan were involved. Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway's center divider. One vehicle was said to be facing the wrong way, but it was unclear whether or not it had been traveling against traffic.

As of 5:04 p.m., CHP has not reported any serious injuries in the event.
