CARMICHAEL, CA - One traffic lane was shut down early this morning after a rental van collided with a telephone pole in north Carmichael, reports CBS 13.
It was roughly 3 a.m. at the 4800 block of Manzanita Avenue when the driver of a rental van swerved in an attempt to avoid an animal in the roadway. The driver then failed to regain control of the vehicle and crashed into a utility pole on the side of the road.
One lane of Manzanita Avenue was blocked from traffic for a few hours following the incident.
No injuries resulted from the accident.
Sacramento Municipal Utility District crewmembers are currently assessing the damage done to the telephone pole.
