SACRAMENTO, CA -- Several people were injured Friday afternoon after a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 80 in north Sacramento, according to California Highway Patrol.
The accident took place on the Truxel Road onramp to I-80 westbound, near Natomas Crossing. It was first reported by CHP shortly after 4:00 p.m.
Four vehicles were involved in the crash, including a red Ford Raptor, a white Kia Soul, a black Tesla, and a black Nissan SUV.
One of the vehicles came to rest on the right-hand shoulder against a wall, and multiple passengers inside were hurt. The extent of their injuries has not yet been disclosed.
The Kia Soul and the Tesla both sustained major front and rear-end damages, and the Nissan SUV received major fender damage.
CHP reported the scene cleared shortly before 5:00 p.m.
