Serious crash delays traffic on I-80 near Sacramento's Metro Center

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A serious collision Wednesday morning caused traffic jams on Interstate 80 near the Metro Center area in Sacramento, according to TTWN Sacramento.

The accident took place on the westbound lanes of I-80 approaching Interstate 5, or California Highway 99. It was first reported by TTWN at 9:05 a.m.

Morning commuters were alerted to a major traffic backup stretching back to Norwood Avenue three exits away.
