SACRAMENTO, CA -- Police and fire crews were called to a crash involving a car and a telephone pole in north Sacramento on Thursday afternoon, according to California Highway Patrol.
Police units and fire crews arrived on scene in the northbound lanes of Watt Avenue just north of Cottage Way at around 3:38 p.m. to find the wrecked sedan, which was emitting smoke and partially blocking the road.
A tow truck was called to the site, suggesting the crash left the vehicle inoperable or totaled.
The crash report indicates the pole remained standing after the incident.
