Roseville man killed by DUI suspect in wrong-way crash

ROSEVILLE, CA - A 39-year-old man died in a head-on collision with a wrong-way driver on Highway 65 Wednesday night.

According to CBS13, the collision happened on CA-65 south of Pleasant Grove Boulevard around 10 p.m.

A driver was traveling the wrong way on southbound CA-65 when they swerved into the left lane and crashed into another vehicle head-on.

Both drivers involved were rushed to an area hospital with major injuries. The victim who was hit by the wrong-way driver later died of his injuries.

The driver who caused the crash has been identified as Arturo Garcia, 34, from Carmichael. Authorities have arrested him for driving under the influence of a controlled substance.
