Pedestrian struck and killed in hit-and-run car crash

SACRAMENTO, CA – A man was killed after being hit by a driver in East Sacramento in the early hours of Sunday morning.

According to KCRA, the pedestrian was hit near Power Inn Road and Butte Avenue. Police arrived on the scene around 2:00 a.m. and found the man with serious injuries.

Despite attempts to save the man’s life, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle that hit him was nowhere to be found.

Police are searching for the driver who fled the scene of the accident.
