Pedestrian hit, injured by driver near Antelope High School

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- One person was hurt Tuesday afternoon in a pedestrian accident near Antelope High School in central Antelope, according to California Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred at 7841 Regency Woods Way, in a residential neighborhood off Elverta Road. It was first reported by CHP shortly before 3:30 p.m.

Details are limited at this time, but CHP's traffic incident report indicates a pedestrian was laying in the middle of the roadway following the crash.

A passerby reported the event after hearing the collision, but it was unclear whether or not the involved driver stayed at the scene.

An ambulance was en route to the scene, but no further information has been released on the condition of the victim.
