Pedestrian fatally hit by driver on I-80 EB near Citrus Heights

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- One person died Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 80 near the Gregory Gardens neighborhood in Citrus Heights, according to CBS Sacramento.

The fatal incident occurred in the eastbound lanes near Antelope Road shortly after 6:00 p.m.

Few details have been released on the circumstances behind the event, but authorities confirmed a pedestrian died from their injuries at the scene.
