SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- A 30-year-old woman died Friday night after being hit by a car and a Sacramento Metro Fire ambulance near Arden-Arcade, according to CBS Sacramento.
California Highway Patrol said the events unfolded on Fulton Avenue, just north of Maison Way, shortly before midnight.
A preliminary investigation indicates the victim was first struck by an Infiniti G35 going northbound on Fulton. Shortly after, she was hit by a Metro Fire ambulance transporting a patient, who was not reported hurt in the crash.
Authorities confirmed the victim died from her injuries.
No further information has been released, but neither driver was suspected of impairment at the time of fatal event.
