SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- At least one person was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a multi-vehicle accident near a Carmichael residence, according to California Highway Patrol.
CHP responded to the scene at 3021 Walnut Avenue at around 5:35 p.m.
Few details have been released, but authorities said three vehicles were involved, including a Honda CR-V, a Nissan Montera, and a Ford. All three vehicles came to rest in the roadway, blocking Walnut Avenue in both directions.
Major injuries were reported in the incident, but CHP did not confirm the number of injured victims.
Two tow trucks were requested at the scene for at least two vehicles with fender damage.
