SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- One person was hurt Wednesday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident near Portofino Plaza in central Fair Oaks, according to California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred on the southbound lanes of Sunrise Boulevard at Fair Oaks Boulevard and was first reported by CHP at 12:54 p.m.
Few details have been provided, but a gray Hyundai Elantra and a white utility truck were involved.
Both vehicles came to rest in the roadway and were blocking the fast lane of traffic.
One adult male in the Hyundai was transported by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The Hyundai sustained major rear-end damage in the crash and required towage.
By 1:25 p.m., the scene had been cleared from the roadway.
