One injured in two-vehicle collision at Carmichael intersection

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- At least one person was injured late Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash near Carmichael's Cable Terrace neighborhood, according to California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Cypress Avenue and Garfield Avenue and was first reported by CHP at 11:16 p.m.

It was unclear what led up to the crash, but an orange sedan and a gray van were involved, with the van coming to rest in a nearby crosswalk.

CHP indicated minor injuries in their traffic incident report but did not confirm how many people were hurt or whether the victims had to be transported to a hospital.

A tow truck was en route to the scene, indicating significant damage to at least one vehicle.
