One injured in two-car collision near Antelope

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- At least one person was injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle accident near the Northern Hills East neighborhood in Antelope, according to California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened near the intersection of Simi Valley Way and Story Ridge Way shortly before 3:08 p.m.

It is not immediately clear what led up to the accident, but it involved a gray Ford Focus and one other gray sedan.

An ambulance was requested at the scene, where minor injuries were reported. As of 3:46 p.m. Thursday, CHP has not confirmed the number of people injured.

Shortly after 3:30 p.m., a tow truck was en route to clear the wrecked Ford Focus, suggesting significant vehicle damage to at least one of the involved cars.
