One injured in hit-and-run crash on Elkhorn Blvd in Rio Linda

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- At least one person was hurt Thursday afternoon in a  hit-and-run collision on Elkhorn Boulevard in Rio Linda, according to California Highway Patrol.

The incident was reported in front of the McDonald's restaurant, just east of Rio Linda Boulevard, at approximately 3:49 p.m.

Details are very limited at this time, but CHP officers arrived to find a juvenile on the sidewalk.

It was not immediately clear whether the juvenile was hit by a vehicle in a pedestrian accident.

An ambulance was en route to the scene, though CHP has not confirmed the number of people hurt or the extent of their injuries.
