One injured after single-vehicle crash on US-50 in Rancho Cordova

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- One person was hospitalized Thursday afternoon after a single-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 50 in Rancho Cordova, according to California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred on the US-50 westbound offramp to Bradshaw Road North and was first reported at 11:56 a.m.

Few details have been shared at this time, but prior to their arrival at the scene, CHP officers received a call about the involved driver possibly being unconscious in the vehicle.

By 12:08 p.m., an ambulance was requested at the scene and one person was transported to a nearby emergency room. No further information has been released regarding the condition of the victim.

A tow truck was en route to clear the wrecked vehicle from the right hand shoulder.
