Multi-vehicle crash reported on I-80 in NE Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A multi-vehicle accident was reported Monday afternoon on Interstate 80 near the East Del Paso Heights area in northeast Sacramento, according to California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on the westbound lanes of the interstate approaching the offramp to Winters Street. It was first reported by CHP at around 3:14 p.m.

Few details have been shared at this time, but the crash report indicates three vehicles were involved, including a black 2015 Ford Focus and a black pickup truck.

One of the vehicles ended up in the roadway's center divider and presented a traffic hazard, but by 3:32, all vehicles were reported cleared to the right shoulder.

A tow truck was en route to transport at least two of the vehicles, suggesting significant damage. A third vehicle was found to be in operable condition.

CHP confirmed no injuries were reported following the crash.
