Multi-vehicle collision reported on I-5 offramp near Metro Center

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A multi-vehicle accident was reported late Thursday afternoon on Interstate 5 near Sacramento's Metro Center area, according to California Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred on the I-5 southbound offramp to I-80 westbound shortly before 4:48 p.m.

Details are limited at this time, but the CHP crash report indicates one collision may have led to a second collision.

Four vehicles were involved in the incident, including a white 2012 Nissan Rogue, a gray minivan, a blue sedan, and a Chevy pickup truck.

All vehicles came to rest in the center divider and far left lane.

By 4:50 p.m., the left lane had been closed to traffic but later reopened at 5:05 p.m.

As of 5:28 p.m. Thursday, CHP has not reported any significant injuries in the accident.
