Multi-car crash blocks shoulder on SB I-5 in North Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A collision involving three vehicles Thursday afternoon is blocking the right hand shoulder of Interstate 5 southbound in north Sacramento, according to California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-5 just north of Airport Boulevard and was first reported at 4:20 p.m.

The incident involves a Dodge Charger, a Ford Mustang, and another vehicle unknown at this time.

As of 4:26 p.m. Thursday, no injuries have been reported.

The cause and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
