Multi-car collision shuts down I-80 WB near North Highlands

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- A multi-vehicle accident Friday afternoon closed all westbound lanes on Interstate 80 near the Madison Meadows area in North Highlands, according to ABC10 News.

The crash impacted the stretch of I-80 westbound approaching Madison Avenue and was first reported by Caltrans around 2:20 p.m.

Motorists were asked to avoid the area as no clearance time was projected.

Shortly after 3:00 p.m., emergency crews had the accident cleared.
