Motorcyclist seriously hurt after two-vehicle crash in north Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A motorcyclist was seriously injured Friday afternoon after a crash involving another vehicle in Sacramento's Robla neighborhood, according to California Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred at the intersection of Rio Linda Boulevard and Marysville Boulevard. It was first reported by CHP at 2:53 p.m.

It is unclear at this time what led up to the crash, but an ambulance was en route for at least one person with major injuries.

A tow truck was also called to clear the wrecked motorcycle, which came to rest in the intersection.

No information has been released on the other involved vehicle, or the circumstances behind the accident.
