Motorcyclist seriously hurt after crash with car near Foothill Farms

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- A motorcyclist was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after being clipped by a vehicle on Hillsdale Boulevard near Foothill Farms, according to California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at the Tacomic Drive intersection near the community's Shasta Garden neighborhood shortly before 3:00 p.m.

Few details have been reported on what led up to the crash, but a green sedan was involved.

The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

No injuries were reported to the party in the sedan.

CHP officers, Twin Rivers police, and Sacramento Fire crews were at the scene, blocking two lanes.

A tow truck was called to transport the motorcycle, suggesting significant damage to the bike.

Shortly before 4:00 p.m., the scene was cleared from the roadway.
