Motorcyclist reports hit-and-run crash on SR-51 in NE Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A hit-and-run crash was reported Monday afternoon involving a motorcycle and another vehicle on Capital City Freeway near Point West in northeast Sacramento, according to California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported in the offramp from Capital City Freeway (SR-51) northbound to Arden Way. It was first reported by CHP at 3:33 p.m.

Few details have been shared on the incident at this time, but accident involved a motorcyclist and the driver of a gray sedan that fled the scene.

CHP said no injuries have been reported in the crash, but the reporting motorcyclist sustained advanced road rashes, suggesting the rider or the bike was knocked onto the roadway.
