SACRAMENTO, CA -- A motorcyclist was fatally injured Wednesday night after a collision involving another vehicle near the Arden Fair Mall in Sacramento, according to CBS Sacramento.
Police said the accident happened along the 1600 block of Arden Way shortly before 7:30 p.m.
An investigation is still being conducted to learn what led up to the crash that left the rider with major injuries.
The man was rushed to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
No further details on the man's identity has been disclosed.
The driver of the involved vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
The incident shut down Arden Way at Heritage Lane as an investigation was conducted through the night.
