Medics respond to two-car crash near Del Paso Park in north Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA -- An ambulance was requested at the scene of a crash Tuesday afternoon involving two vehicles near the Del Paso Park neighborhood in north Sacramento, according to California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers responded to the scene near the Watt Avenue North onramp to the westbound lanes of I-80 shortly after 3:00 p.m.

Little information has been reported about the incident at this time, but the crash involved a white Ford van and a white Ford SUV.

Both an ambulance and crews with Sacramento Fire were dispatched to the scene, suggesting a significant collision with possible injuries.

The incident left much of Watt Avenue south of I-80 blocked, though road closure has not been confirmed at this time.
