Medics called after multi-vehicle wreck on SR-51 in NE Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A multi-vehicle accident was reported Monday evening on a Business Loop 80 offramp near Sacramento's Erickson Industrial Park, according to California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened on the SR-51 southbound offramp to Arden Way and was first reported by CHP at 7:23 p.m.

It was not immediately clear what led up to the accident, but the CHP crash report indicates a party in a white Ford pickup truck caused a collision involving three other vehicles, including a black Dodge Charger and a white Dodge Durango.

CHP has not confirmed any significant injuries in the accident, but an ambulance was requested at the scene.

The event left the right lane blocked, but by 8:08 p.m., all lanes were reopened to traffic.
