Man struck by drunk driver in Marysville Save Mart parking lot

MARYSVILLE, CA - A man was run over by a woman accused of DUI while walking in a Save Mart parking lot in Yuba County Thursday.

According to CBS13, the collision happened at the Save Mart on J Street at 8th Street around 3 p.m. 36-year-old Heather Wood backed her vehicle into a man, then proceeded to pull forward and run over his legs.

A witness called 911 and the victim was rushed to Rideout Hospital.

Wood had a blood alcohol content twice the legal limit and charged with DUI causing injury and child endangerment. she was booked into the Yuba county Jail.

Three children, all under age 15, were in Wood's vehicle. None of them were injured and police released the minors to a parent.
