Major injuries reported after multi-car crash on I-80 in north Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA -- At least one person was seriously hurt Friday afternoon after a multi-car crash on Interstate 80 near Sacramento's Natomas Crossing, according to California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on the I-80 westbound offramp to I-5. It was first reported by CHP shortly after 3:00 p.m.

Few details have been made available at this time, However, troopers confirmed four vehicles were involved.

The CHP crash report indicates major injuries, though the number of people injured has not been confirmed.

The wrecked vehicles were blocking three left lanes, with two parties coming to rest in the center divider.

Two of the involved vehicles include a gray Chevy Traverse and a white four-door Audi sedan with major rear damage.
