Injuries reported in two-vehicle East Sacramento collision

SACRAMENTO, CA - At least one person was injured after a collision on US-50 westbound Wednesday evening.

The crash happened on the westbound lanes of the highway near the Zinfandel Drive off-ramp, reports the California Highway Patrol.

A driver in a Jeep and another vehicle collided around 9 p.m. The accident was blocking the right shoulder of the off-ramp as crews worked to clear the scene.

EMS crews were called to treat at least one victim in the crash. Details on the extent of those injured and the cause of the crash have not been provided.
