Injuries reported in two-car crash near Sacramento's Point West

SACRAMENTO, CA -- At least one person was injured Wednesday evening in a two-car collision on California Route 51 near the Point West neighborhood in northeast Sacramento, according to California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on the offramp from SR-51 (Capital City Freeway) northbound to Exposition Boulevard shortly before 5:00 p.m.

No details have been reported on the events leading up to the crash, but a gold Toyota Camry and a blue Honda sedan were involved.

The crash was sitting on the right hand shoulder of the offramp awaiting an ambulance and Sacramento Fire crews.
