SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- Injuries were reported Thursday afternoon after a collision involving two vehicles outside Mercy San Juan Medical Center in Carmichael, according to California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred in front of the hospital located at 6555 Coyle Avenue and was first reported by CHP at 2:28 p.m.
Little information has been disclosed on the circumstances behind the crash, but it involved a black Toyota Corolla and a silver Honda Accord.
The accident was blocking lanes at 2:26 p.m. but by 2:32 the roadway had been cleared.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene after minor injuries were reported. The number of people injured has not been confirmed, though parties from both vehicles complained of pain.
A tow truck arrived on scene at 2:47 p.m., suggesting significant vehicle damages.
