Injuries reported in multi-vehicle crash involving stolen vehicle on I-80

SACRAMENTO, CA - A multi-vehicle crash caused several injuries on westbound I-80 Friday evening.

According to KCRA, a gunman fired multiple shots in the 300 Block of Silver Eagle Road when they stole a vehicle. They fled onto westbound I-80 on Yolo Causeway when they crashed into multiple vehicles and a Sacramento police helicopter located them.

Several people involved in the crash sustained minor injuries. It is unclear how many were involved in the crash.

The suspect also sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital before being arrested and taken to Sacramento County Jail.

Authorities are currently investigating the collision and gunshots.
