SACRAMENTO, CA -- Injuries were reported Tuesday afternoon after a hit-and-run collision involving two vehicles in Rio Linda near north Sacramento, according to California Highway Patrol.
Patrol officers arrived on scene at the intersection of 20th Street and Elkhorn Boulevard at around 4:41 p.m.
The incident involved a red Mazda 5 and a red Toyota Camry, though it was not immediately clear from the crash report which was the causing vehicle.
Crews with Sacramento Fire were also at the scene where injuries were reported. The number of people injured and the extent of injuries was not reported.
The causing vehicle was last seen going eastbound toward Watt Avenue.
