SACRAMENTO, CA -- A tractor-trailer and a sedan collided Wednesday evening along Interstate 5 in north Sacramento.
According to California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 5:15 p.m. on the offramp from I-5 southbound to California Highway 99 northbound.
An ambulance was dispatched to the scene for at least one person who suffered minor injuries.
Police say the accident involved a semi-truck hauling a trailer and a silver Kia Optima. Both vehicles were initially blocking the right lane, presenting a traffic hazard, until they were moved to the right-hand shoulder.
Multiple tow units were called to the scene to remove the damaged semi.
