ORANGEVALE, CA - A 31-year-old woman was struck by a driver in a hit-and-run while celebrating New Year's in east Orangevale, reports CBS 13.
Lena Adams was lighting fireworks at roughly midnight on New Year's Eve on Main Avenue not far from where it intersects with Greenback Lane when she was struck by a vehicle that quickly fled the scene. Video of the incident shows that the driver yelled at the woman before crashing into her.
Adams has since recovered from her injuries.
The driver responsible for the collision has yet to be identified or found by authorities.
