SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- Property damage was reported Wednesday night after a hit-and-run driver crashed into a Metropolitan Fire of Sacramento firehouse in Citrus Heights, according to FOX 40.
Authorities said the incident occurred at Firehouse 27, located on Grand Oaks Boulevard near Oak Forest Street.
An early investigation shows the fire crew was sitting in the living room when the car crashed into the building.
No injuries were reported in the crash, but Metro Fire said the suspect drove away shortly after.
Crews from the department's Facilities Division responded to the scene to evaluate the damage and building's structural safety. A new wall and window were expected to be installed by Friday.
No further information has been released on the suspect vehicle or its driver.
