SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- A hit-and-run crash was reported Friday evening near the Vienna Heights neighborhood in northeast Carmichael, according to California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred near a residence at 6904 Landis Avenue and was first reported at 5:43 p.m.
Few details have been shared at this time, but the CHP report suggests the victim vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the crash.
A neighbor of the victim party witnessed the event and confronted the causing driver, but they fled the scene.
