Fatal collision kills 2, seriously injures 1 at Folsom Lake Crossing

FOLSOM, CA - Two drivers were killed and a passenger was seriously injured in a Folsom crash that happened this afternoon.

According to Gold Country Media, the accident happened on Folsom Lake Crossing when two mid-sized SUVs collided head-on. Emergency crews were on the scene around 4 p.m. and needed to extract at least one victim from their vehicle.

Both drivers involved were pronounced dead at the scene. A third person was rushed to a local hospital with major injuries.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
