Fatal hit-and-run closes overpass, on/off ramps on Business 80

SACRAMENTO, CA – A man was killed in a hit-and-run car crash at Business 80 and El Camino Ave. in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The victim was found in a blue mini-van on the edge of Capital City freeway. The crash caused his vehicle to overturn onto the freeway from the El Camino Ave. on-ramp around 2:40 a.m. reports KCRA.

A white sedan without any occupants also crashed at the entrance of the on-ramp.

As police investigate the incident, the westbound off-ramp from Business 80 at El Camino will be closed.

No further details have been disclosed at this time.
