SACRAMENTO, CA -- A multi-vehicle accident was reported Friday evening on Howe Avenue near northeast Sacramento's Cal Expo area, according to California Highway Patrol.
The collision took place on the northbound lanes just south of Hurley Way and was first reported by CHP at 5:23 p.m.
Details are limited at this time, but up to three vehicles were involved, including a blue Subaru and a white Chevrolet pickup truck. At the time of this writing, authorities said the third vehicle may have left the scene or pulled into a nearby plot.
The two remaining vehicles came to rest in the roadway, blocking a left-turn lane and a center lane.
An ambulance was en route to the scene, suggesting likely injuries to at least one person.
