SACRAMENTO, CA -- An ambulance was requested at the scene of a crash Thursday afternoon involving three vehicles in North Highlands, according to California Highway Patrol.

CHP officers responded to the scene on Palm Street just west of Watt Avenue in the Planehaven neighborhood at 2:52 p.m.

The accident involved a full-sized Ford F250 pickup truck, a van, and another unspecified truck.

An ambulance was dispatched to the scene, though the number of people injured and the extent of their injuries was not immediately clear.

A tow truck was required for the F250 and the van, suggesting significant to total loss in damages.

All southbound lanes on Watt Avenue were blocked off as authorities investigated the crash.

No other details have been reported at this time.
