SACRAMENTO, CA -- A man died early Friday morning after losing control of his car on a U.S. Highway 50 onramp in east Sacramento's College/Glen area, according to CBS Sacramento.
The accident happened on the ramp from Howe Avenue to US-50 near California State University Sacramento.
For unknown reasons, the man lost control of his vehicle while driving onto the onramp. The car veered across the median and continued traveling until it struck an embankment and overturned.
The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where he later died from his injuries. Officers said they believe he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
No other occupants were in the vehicle, and no other injuries were reported.
