SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA -- Property damage was reported Sunday afternoon after a driver crashed into an unoccupied building in southwest Citrus Heights, reports Sacramento Bee.

Crews with Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District responded to the scene at 5859 Auburn Boulevard shortly before 2:45 p.m.

Photos captured at the crash site show a white four-door sedan wrecked against the front of the building, formerly occupied by The German Deli. The vehicle appears to have sustained significant front-end damage, while several of the building's wooden pillars were broken off in the accident.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was not initially reported injured but later received medical treatment, according to authorities.

No other injuries were reported in the event.
