Crews respond to semi-truck fire on I-5 in north Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A semi-truck caught fire Sunday afternoon on Interstate 5 near the Southern Pacific/Richards area in north Sacramento, reports FOX40.

The incident occurred on the southbound lanes of I-5 past Richards Boulevard and was first reported by Sacramento Fire Department at 2:23 p.m.

It is unclear what led up to the vehicle fire, but authorities confirmed no injuries were reported.
