Crash delays traffic on US-50 EB near midtown Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, CA -- A vehicle accident Monday afternoon blocked a right lane on U.S. Route 50 near the Richmond Grove area in midtown Sacramento, according to TTWN Sacramento.

The crash occurred on the eastbound lanes of US-50 west of 15th Street and was first reported at 3:15 p.m.

Motorists were warned of stop-and-go traffic extending back to the Interstate 5/California Route 99 merge.

By 3:40 p.m., the scene was reported cleared, though delays remained, impacting traffic back to Jefferson Boulevard.
