SACRAMENTO, CA -- A vehicle collision Sunday afternoon blocked two lanes and caused a traffic backup on U.S. Route 50 westbound near the Alhambra Triangle neighborhood in Sacramento, according to TTWN Sacramento.

The accident happened on the stretch of US-50 westbound east of Stockton Boulevard and was reported by TTWN at 12:50 p.m.
Motorists were alerted of delays stretching back to the westbound onramp from Hornet Drive.
By 1:25 p.m., both westbound lanes remained blocked.
